Sometimes the unexpected happens, and teachers need to be flexible. This happened today when I came to school planning to take my classes into the lab for their NWEA Reading Tests and found technical difficulties would prevent us from doing so.
Students were prepared, for the most part, with their reading materials and RRJ's (thank you!) but days like this still are still frustrating :c(
Thank you 7th graders for making Reader's Workshop more effective--for being more consistent with your RRJ's and for remembering to bring your books to class.
8th graders--why so chatty today?? Yikes! Let's make tomorrow a better day...shall we!?
Tuesday--Writer's Workshop: We will focus on writing transitions that link our memoir anecdotes. I drafted some more of my memoir chapter this weekend. (I ended up writing quite a bit about CATS.) How's yours coming along?
Elmo pays us a visit tomorrow; he'll be looking for some drafts to share :c)
Fondly,
Mrs. V~
