Just Another Manic Tuesday

Well, today we learned about writing effective leads in our memoirs. So far students have selected a theme for their memoirs and have drafted anecdotes related to those themes. Now we've added action, dialogue, and thinking leads to our "toolbox" of strategies.

Tomorrow we will share some of those leads with the class. (Yes, Elmo is still waiting for us to use him/it!) We will then look at ways to transition between our ideas in the body/anecdotes.

Students should ALWAYS spend time reviewing their vocabulary word list. We will continue to have little exercises related to those units. Also remember, it takes a student on average 10 exposures to a new word to learn and understand it.

Students also have 1 RRJ entry due on Friday. They may either visualize OR determine important ideas...students' choice.

Fondly,
Mrs. V~
