Today we continued our work with similes and metaphors, viewing more interesting photos (I still giggle at the thought of that laughing cat!) and creating interesting metaphors to accompany them. Students also received a copy of a poem we will use as a model to write metaphors in poetry.
I promised some of the students a copy of the clown....err....kitten photo on my PowerPoint, so as soon as Mr. Clark shows me how to make a link to that, I'll post it here.
It's late--almost 5 p.m.--and Academic Detention will be over soon. Thank goodness for Crockpots and potroasts! I can smell it from here at my desk :cP

Hahaa! I bet your excited to be getting out of Academic detention. I'm SO glad that I've never had to attend it. I'm cooking my diner in a crockpot as well! Enjoy your eneving!

Thanks, Briana. I had a good group after school, and they had big stacks of work that they completed. (Now we all have to grade them! :c\)
