Today in LA students read one of my memoir anecdote drafts and worked in small groups to offer me some revision suggestions. The 1st, 2nd, and 4th period classes got to read my sad, sad account of a kitten tragedy from my youth, and my homeroom class, 5th period, got to read my happier account of taking Old Kitty for a bike ride. Thanks to all who gave me thought-provoking suggestions for improvement.
Tomorrow we will continue to work on our memoir drafts with a mini-lesson on transitions and bridging ideas.
Don't forget your RRJ entry, which is due Friday. Your choice: Visualizing or Determining Important Ideas.
Fondly,
Mrs. V~
