All students got a happy surprise today, a free book from the Book Fair. This gracious gift came from our wonderful PTSA. A BIG THANK YOU to the parents who made this possible.
Students had Reader's Workshop today, and I was impressed by the quality of many of the questioning entries I read in the RRJ's. In a questioning entry, students first question a facet of their reading; then they note an observation related to that question. Finally, students predict what they think will happen based on their observations. Then they repeat the process.
We ended the afternoon with our homeroom celebrations for first quarter. Students were recognized for perfect attendance, A-B honor roll, and A honor roll. Parents, check backpacks or certificates.
