I'm still tapping my foot from the great dance we had tonight. It was a good turnout and definitely a good time. We missed those of you who couldn't make it.

All classes--We drew our due dates from the class hat today for the Book Talks. All students received detailed instructions for this presentation, which will be given by all students from Friday, November 20 to Monday, December 14. Every Friday and Monday between these dates will have 3-4 students promoting a work of fiction (historical fiction for 7th grade) that they have read. Students will create a written document first, which will then act as the script for the presentation on the due date. The written document will also be included in the end-of-quarter portfolio.

Reader's Workshop followed this, and all classes had approximatelty 35-40 minutes of quality reading time.

A BIG compliment to my first period 7th grade group. All of you were on task and engaged in your historical fiction works today. It was a pleasure to read alongside you today, even IF I was reading your RRJ's :c)
