I hope you had a great day. I was home today but will return on Thursday.
All classes--An Inferring entry shows your reader how you've gathered information and drawn conclusions. In doing so you might predict while you read or you might share what you liked or didn't like about the author's craft (evaluate.)
If you check your RRJ inserts, you will find that an Inferring entry often starts with "I predict..." or "I liked the way the author..." or "I didn't like the way the author...." Of course all of these prompts must be followed by adequate text evidence to show your readers why you think what you think.
I've placed some model Inferring entries in the blue models box on the south wall by the window. During workshop feel free to read over these.
Fondly,
Mrs. V~
P.S. Homeroom students should have returned their grade checkup. Parents, if you haven't seen this, you can expect a phone call in the next few days. Thanks!
