It seemed like everyone was in a crabby mood today, but we tried to remedy that by talking about our upcoming ISTEP tests this week :-)
It saddens me when students moan and groan about the chance to show how much they've grown as thinkers and learners. While I agree that taking standardized tests is not the most dynami way to spend the day, they do give students an opportunity to shine. That is my hope for all of our 7th and 8th graders this spring--that they will sit up straight, focus on the goals that they've set, and do the hard work that real learning takes.
No homework tonight folks. Tomorrow's schedule is posted in the locker banks for your convenience.
