I'm still a little off whack because yesterday was Tuesday, the first day of the school week. But I'm sure I'll recover by tomorrow--the best day of the week! :c)
I got my PowerSchool grades updated today, so if you're so inclined, you can check your grades.
Today we read (or re-read for some of you) Mr. Clark's memoir piece about his father. It is a touching memory, and we appreciate his sharing it with us. In 7th grade LA, we analyzed his memoir and rated his writing strategies. 8th graders used the memoir as inspiration as we utilized a large chunk of time for Writer's Workshop today. The memoirs are slowly coming together, and most students should be ready for final revisions/word processing very soon.
Don't forget your spelling and vocabulary test over unit 2 on Friday. For those of you who didn't get it yesterday, here is a website where you can review your words and definitions. 7th grade--Book A; 8th grade--Book B:
