Tuesday

Today we had a make up/catch up class period. Those students who were missing any assignments due to an absence had an opportunity to complete those assignments.

Those who did not have any work to make up worked on their first persuasive pieces. We have been studying ineffective persuasive strategies and how those strategies often lead to humor and/or sarcasm. We will jump feet first into EFFECTIVE strategies tomorrow, and students will be reading/studying works from the Civil Rights Era to develop their formal persuasive works.

I will return the spelling and vocabulary tests tomorrow, everyone. See you then!
