Wow, another great day of conversations related to our readings on the Civil Rights Movements. Students are not only answering questions; they have started to ask amazing questions, too. Who started racism? How could nonviolent protesters just sit or stand there and take it? I hope some of these thought-provoking questions have made it home for more conversations there.
Tomorrow we have Reader's Workshop, and we will finish reading the play we started today. It will give students more insight into the practice of peaceful, nonviolent protest. Don't forget your books and bookmarks.
Fondly,
Mrs. V~
P.S. Students who have been absent should plan on attending my tutoring afternoons for their grade level. It is taking way too long for students to catch up from their absences. Missing work will eventually become a zero in PowerSchool.
